ANGER WHEN MOULDED

Image
The antithetical resemblance of stoicism can be recognised as the anger. When we are unable to control certain stances, we prefer to divert ourselves into the most accessible form – fury. Without being worried about the consequences we push ourselves into it, thus, making some great mistakes of our lives. But, certainly after a hiatus, a point is reached when we are able to be at calmness, deeply pondering about the importance of this aggression. We think about the damages it has already done to our mind, relationships or may be the materialistic chattels . We then retrospect if this rage was actually necessary. Assuming the contradiction to the above situation- What if we accept the circumstances? Would not there be different occurrences then? The acceptance, in lieu, would provide the tolerance to us. The endurance to rigidly face any arduous life situations instead of being outrageous. We would not break down at any negligible notions. We would stand straight upholding our ...

POISON IN IT’S DIGNIFIED FORM !!!

Image
He who talks about poison, exhibits the only one aspect of it, as the most notorious element for any living life collectively neglecting the other perspective, which could be its importance as the antidote. If one finds snake venom harmful for humans or other living beings, thus, has ignored its importance in the life of the snake. For the snake, it is one of the most important lifesaving chemicals. It is that compound which smoothens its survival easy and effortless on this earth. Similarly, the food meant for a section of human being might not be the same for the other, instead might turn up as the most bitter experience for his taste buds . Pride in its conscious form protecting one’s dignity is an antidote whilst, its superfluity, trying to overpower the thoughts of others is a poison. The vanity , ego , fear , jealousy , money, luxury in its overabundance form turns out to be a poison for any human being on this earth. The thin line of separation is to be considered ev...

FEAR NOT

Image
Those who are into an adventure , have definitely beaten the fear and so find ‘it’- the adventure, as the most alluring moment of their life. Overcoming the fear, is the acceptance of the unpredictability. Once you acquire the courage to welcome the unknown, then anonymity flips into the world of thrill and excitement. We as humans have the keen aversion for this acceptance without considering in our mind that this might lead us into the ‘light’ which we are actually seeking for. The infant does not know the joy of crawling and the one-year-old toddler does not know the delight of standing up and walking. Similarly, the older us are scared to take a plunge in our career or personal lives without judging the exhilarations it would bring to us once we take the step forward. The only synonymous notion among the above three instances is the ‘fear’- ‘what if’. What if ‘I’ fall down? What if ‘I’ am unable to get up again? What if ‘I’ get hurt? And while pondering ourselves within ...

WHEN SHAMS SPOKE ABOUT LOVE

Image
Says who? To love entirely is to love only the good and disdain the bad. If the real self within us is asked about its inclination, it would reply with the utter innocence – why to unlove the bad? We often decide within our minds, what to be considered and what not to be preferred and as such we train our complex mind to love and unlove places, peoples, things and so on. It is so uncomplicated to embrace the good. But the real challenge is to accept the bad and the good together without comparing both and to recognize their individual abilities. It is necessary not because one will value the good more if it acknowledges the bad but it is important to understand the love in its deeper level that is beyond these concepts, which, is then is wholesome and undivided. We cannot hate the rain just because its profusion creates the havoc, as we enjoy the light drizzles on Sunday evenings when we ought to get half drenched in it or to watch it falling from the sky at the midnight...

TO FORGIVE OR NOT TO?

Image
“ Grace comes to forgive and then forgive again. ”- Rumi . The act of forgiveness is a two-way path. To seek forgiveness. To forgive. It requires most of the discerned courage to accept one’s fault and asked to be forgiven by the person whom it was intentionally or unknowingly being hurt. But it provides immense happiness and satisfaction once this act is done without being prejudiced. It provides the independence to face the person unescorted by any guilt . And oneself will earn the freedom of the feathered friends flying up at the sky. This provides the inner calmness and tranquillity of mind . The act of giving forgiveness is tougher than the above proclaimed feat. It pinches the wounds which were once fathomless and might have healed with time or might not have. In fact, time, mostly, does not heal but puts several layers on it, thus, hiding it somewhere thick and far down. To forgive is to accept the inner lacerations which are throbbing deep inside. To forgiv...

O WOMAN! LOVE THYSELF

Image
This lady in the recent Bollywood flick, had delivered dialogues for the few camouflaged notions of our society. One of them was the hard hit to the member of the fair sex in which she says, ‘aurat anaj uga bhi sakti hai, paka bhi sakti hai. Bachcha paida bhi kar sakti hai, bada bhi kar sakti hai. Dekhne jae to aurto ko mardo ki koi khas zarurat waise hai nahi. Par ye bat agar aurto ko pata chal gai to mard bechare ka baja nahi baj jaega?’ ( "Women can farm and cook. We can give birth to children and raise them. If you think about it, women don't really need men at all. But if women figured this out, men would be screwed, wouldn't they?") If women are capable of leading their lives on their own, who is stopping them from doing it? Today’s woman is smart, self-independent, educated and so much ahead of time. She is a teacher, a scientist, an astronaut and what not. Still, when its about the relationship with the opposite sex, she is always the weaker partner (exce...

Was it spooky enough? - Part II

Image
Chitra jumped out of her make shift arrangement, picked the heavy spoon thrown on the ground and kept it back on the rack. They did discuss but then concluded, might be the spoon was kept indiscriminately on top of the casserole pot. Chitra was silent. They went back to sleep.  Morning at 7, they woke up. Chitra was already awake and done with her morning rituals as a habitual early riser. Four of them sat with their cups of tea. Chitra spoke, 'Umm... the spoon was not kept on top of the pot. I was the last one to have food yesterday night. I remember very well, I had kept it near the pot towards inside, in a horizontal position with its face turned down. And it was hurled on the floor in an upside down position too, but in a straight vertical orientation. Moreover, I was awake for some time as I could hear someone constantly walking near us. I thought must be one of you but when I looked up, I found none.' 'Wait. I heard the bathroom door being thumped with something heavy...
